Treasurer of the Board

Hackmatack is seeking a treasurer to join our volunteer board of directors.
The term is two years, with the ability to re-offer, and is open to residents of the Atlantic Provinces.

The Role
  • Prepare annual financial statements
  • File annual CRA registered charity and HST returns
  • Advise on budgeting and bookkeeping (bookkeeping is done by the office)

About the Board
We’re a working board that normally meets seven times a year. Our meetings are efficient and energetic; our work style is collaborative.

We strive for our board to reflect our mission to enable all children to see themselves in the books they read.

We’re particularly interested in people who self-identify as Indigenous, Black, persons of the global majority, racialized, 2SLGBTQIA+, newcomers to Canada and/or persons with disabilities.
